I’m terribly thrown off. I fell asleep at midnight, and so I woke up feeling fully rested at three a.m. I hate insomnia.

There are parrots of some flavor loose in my neighborhood. They’ve nested, and have been out at least for one winter. There are escaped parrot colonies all over the place, really.
I adore the ones that are in my neighborhood. I can see their nest from my back porch, and I often hear and see their cute antics.
So… yes, Green Parrot is inspired by them. Too bad that he can only say what people have said at him.
