tracking
The “news” that came out recently about how “iPhones track their owners” made me snicker. My father actually called me up, very concerned about this.
I was also amused that an Android-using friend got all uppity about it, as if their phone didn’t do that.
Frankly, I like both, and so I don’t feel as if I have a dog in this fight, even if I do use an iPhone. I mean, I like my iPhone and all, but I’m not against having an Android. I nearly got a Nexus, and then something pissed me off and I went the other way. *shrug*
I dig them both. At least they aren’t Windows phones.

as if their phone didn’t do that.
Their phones asked for permission first, and were quite up-front about telling them that they would be tracked if they said “yes”. It wasn’t buried in the middle of a legal document.
So the Android users have a point. Though if they think their phones aren’t tracking them, then they just aren’t paying attention.
I wasn’t aware that the Android OS asked up front, thanks! It also makes it that much more amusing that my friend thought that his Android wasn’t tracking him.
Sadly, I just presume that anything like that might be tracking me. Oh no, it’s tracking me! Oh, look, Cut The Rope.
